Breast Sensitivity During Sex: How Mindful Touch Can Improve Intimacy

“My husband thinks I don’t like it anymore.”

Sometimes a change in sexual response starts with a small misunderstanding.

Maybe a woman used to enjoy breast or nipple touch, but lately she doesn't react the same way. Her partner notices. He assumes she's no longer attracted to him. She worries that something is wrong with her body. Neither person says much, and suddenly a simple change in sensitivity becomes an emotional problem.

But breast sensitivity isn't a fixed setting.

It can change with hormones, stress, age, medications, pregnancy, breastfeeding, skin irritation, menstrual-cycle changes, menopause and even the way touch is being applied. And enjoying breast touch one day doesn't create an obligation to enjoy exactly the same touch every time.

The more useful question isn't, “Why doesn't she like it anymore?”

It's:

“What feels good to her now?”
